Your Limited Lifetime Warranty

Everything under the cover is covered™ represents a superior warranty reflecting furniture products of the highest quality. Our limited lifetime warranty guarantees that your new Sklar Peppler 1800 SX Series sofa will be free from manufacturing defects under normal conditions of non-commercial use. This applies to frames, springs, and cushions. This warranty is provided exclusively to you - the original retail purchaser:
• In the first ten years, Sklar Peppler will repair or replace any defective parts under the upholstery covers at no cost to you
• After ten years, Sklar Peppler will supply you with parts at no charge - at which point labour is the responsibility of the owner.

Frames: We make our own high performance frames at Sklar Peppler: combining state-of-the-art machinery with old world craftsmanship. Each frame is constructed with Engineered Hardwood - a material which because of its absolute uniformity, actually improves upon nature. Unlike natural wood, Engineered Hardwood will not split, crack or warp: with every joint interlocked, glued and fastened for added strength. The frame of your sofa is built to last - that's why we give you our Lifetime Warranty..

Springs: Ever wonder why some sofas are more comfortable than others? The answer lies in the springs. Our patented 1800 SX Series spring construction gives you the unique comfort of truly independent seating and our Lifetime Warranty. Each section of the sitting area has its very own foundation further reinforced by individual seat stabilizers. Next time you get together with friends, know that every guest who sits on your Sklar Peppler sofa is being wonderfully supported by their very own set of springs!

Seat Cushions: Our cushions are a marvel of technology, designed to mold to your actual body shape. Each cushion is created for comfort from the inside out, backed by our Lifetime Warranty. The 1.9 density centre foam core is surrounded by comfort foam layers, and encased in a densified polyester wrap. Our Sklar cushions provide an incredibly comfortable seat.

 Other Warranties

Fabric:         Our upholstery fabric is pre-tested for wearability, durability and seam strength at our very own in-house testing lab. Thus, we guarantee our materials and workmanship for a period of One Year - under conditions of normal residential, non-commercial use. This warranty does not cover wrinkling, fading, pilling, or where there is evidence of heavy soiling. After-market treatments include but are not limited to: protection plans, insurance plans, extended warranties or spray applications.

Exposed Wood Components:       All exposed wood components are warranted against splitting, cracking and breakage for a period of One Year. We do expect our customers to take care to protect the wood from normal household dings and dents, as these are not covered by the warranty.

Sofabed Mattress & Mechanisms:        All our sofa bed mattresses and reclining mechanisms come with a Three Year Warranty.

Sklar Down Cushion:       These optional down cushions are featured on selected Sklar Peppler sofas to create a more relaxed casual look. They are constructed with an extremely comfortable foam core and layers of feathers, down and polyester fibres, all encased to ensure feathers don't poke through. Remarkably luxurious, the Sklar Down Cushion actually becomes more comfortable as if softens and wrinkles over time. This cushion option features our Lifetime Warranty.

Leather:       You receive a Five Year Warranty on leather against wear and tear under normal residential, non-commercial use. Note that this warranty does not cover natural shading, scarring or blemishes as these are all natural characteristics of genuine leather.

Springs:Ever wonder why some sofas are more comfortable than others? The answer lies in the springs. In the 1200 SL Series, our 'no-sag' spring system promises you years of reliable comfort. Note that the tension of the springs will relax slightly over time - that's perfectly normal. The springs are warranted against breakage caused by metal fatigue or spring clips pulling loose from the frame. And the entire spring system is warranted for five years.

Seat Cushions: Our cushions are designed to mold to your actual body shape. Each cushion is created for comfort from the inside out. The 1.8 density foam is well wrapped with polyester fibres. The end result is superior comfort and support in a cushion that's warranteed for two years.

In-Back or Back Cushions: Lean back on your Sklar Peppler furniture with confidence and comfort. You will enjoy balanced support because the high quality polyester fibres are distributed evenly in channels to keep all fibres in place. (Not available in all models – please check with your retailer.)

Other Warranties

Fabric:         All our upholstery fabrics are warranted against defective materials and workmanship for a period of One Year - under conditions of normal residential, non-commercial use. This warranty does not cover wrinkling, fading, pilling, or where there is evidence of heavy soiling. It also does not cover after-market fabric treatments which may include but are not limited to: protection plans, insurance plans, extended warranties or spray applications. All other materials, including exposed wood components, sofabed mattresses and mechanisms, and reclining mechanisms come with our 3 year warranty.

Replacement Parts: Within the warranty period, if identical materials are unavailable at the time of repair or replacement, Sklar Peppler reserves the right to substitute materials of equal or better quality. Replacement of fabrics may vary in colour from the original due to dye lot differences.

Please note that a defect can be repaired by the retailer in your home with proper authorization from Sklar Peppler. If the repair cannot be completed in your home, then please make arrangements with the retailer to transport the product to the repair depot. Be aware that Sklar Peppler is not responsible for handling and/or shipping costs to and from the retailer or service depot. We are also not responsible for any incidental or consequential damage. Sklar Peppler's obligation is to the original purchaser of the product only. This warranty is limited to repairing or replacing any parts of the product found to be defective in workmanship or materials, within the length of time specified, and will not exceed the purchase price of the original product.

Easy Care
 

Regular vacuuming and professional cleaning will ensure the beauty of your new purchase, however, the following easy maintenance is strongly recommended.

To enhance the appearance of your cushions, we suggest that you rotate them regularly. You may also want to unzip the cushion casings occasionally and adjust the filling. Fluffing your cushions regularly, as you would with your bed pillows, will help keep them looking new longer. Do not remove your cushion cores from the casings for any reason.

All cushions will soften with use. This is a natural characteristic of foam and should not be confused with loss of foam resiliency. Some loss of loft with use is normal, which may produce some wrinkling.
 
SERVICE

To obtain service under the specified warranty, you must report any defects to the furniture retailer where the product was purchased. A FIN # (Furniture Identification Number) located on the bottom of the frame must be supplied to obtain prompt service. The retailer will contact Sklar Peppler for service arrangements. A defect may be repaired by the retailer in your home with Sklar Peppler authorization. However, if the repair cannot be completed in your home, then you must make arrangements with the retailer to transport the product to the repair depot. Sklar Peppler is not responsible for handling and/or shipping costs to and from the retailer or service depot. Sklar Peppler, in no event, will be held responsible for any incidental or consequential damage. In no event will Sklar Peppler’s responsibility exceed the purchase price of the original product.

Sklar Peppler’s obligation to the original purchaser under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing any parts of the product found to be defective in workmanship or materials for the time specified.
